What percentage of humans in the world are albinos?
Question Date: 2006-03-20
Answer 1:

Prevalence of the different forms of albinism varies considerably by population. According to Wikipedia, one person in 17,000 has some type of albinism. Considering that we are around 9 thousand millions people in the world (9000,000,000), the fraction of 1 in 17,000 gives an approximation of 0.006% people with some kind of albinism in the world.
