How many moles are contained in the following at STP? I have 22.4L of N2. Do I have to convert to get from liters to grams then to moles?
Question Date: 2007-04-10
Answer 1:

Thanks for your question. At STP (Standard Temperature and Pressure of 273.15 degrees Kelvin and 1 atmosphere of pressure) one mole of any gas will occupy a volume of 22.4L. If for instance your volume was 44.8, then 2 moles of gas would occupy that volume.
