Answer 2:
Don't do it - it won't kill you, but it might make you blind. Food coloring may be able to do that if you eat it, but I would be wary of putting it into your blood in some other way. Also, putting something in your eyes is no more likely to get into your blood AND it might mess up your eyes. |
Answer 3:
No, you should not put anything in your veins. In order to stay healthy our blood must be sterile. Putting anything in your veins is never a good idea because bacteria and other harmful things can get in by accident, which can make us very sick. Although food coloring is not allowed to be toxic when put in our mouth (since we put it in our food!), it is not meant to be put anywhere else in our body. Also, some people are allergic to food coloring which causes a serious reaction! If you want a really cool science project dealing with blood, you can take blood pressure measurements which actually tell us a whole lot about a person's health and lifestyle! Blood pressure measures how easily our blood travels through our veins. To make it even more fun you can add a condition first like exercise, eating some type of food, watching tv (or really anything you can think of!) and seeing how their blood pressure changes.
