Propylene glycol is said to be used in shampoo. Is this harmful to hair, and/or does it clean sebum better?
Question Date: 2011-12-14
Answer 1:

Hair is dead. There isn't much you can do to harm it.

I don't know what chemicals can harm the hair follicles, the living tissue inside of your skin that produces hair, but I can tell you that the hair itself is not alive.
