Fertilization is more broad and applies
to any organism that have male and female
reproductive cells fuse to form a new organism.
So all pollination is fertilization, but
not all fertilization is pollination. For
instance in humans, fertilization occurs when a
sperm and egg cell fuse, but this process is not
pollination.
