In which type of rock are fossils most likely found?
Question Date: 2015-12-09
Answer 1:

Fossils are found in Sedimentary rocks (if sedimentary rocks are heated to make metamorphic rocks then it "cooks" the fossils and they are destroyed).

Answer 2:

Fossils are most often found in rock made from sediments, such as shale, sandstone, or limestone. Limestone in particular is often made completely of fossils.
