Wow, green flashing lights! Your mom has amazing
eyes. All I can think of for that is the light
reflecting from her eyes. When light hits
something, some of the light bounces back. We see
that as a reflection.
The colored part of our eye is called the
iris. It can be many different colors. It can
even seem to change colors due to how the light
hits the eye or tears on the eye.
The white part of the eye can be read because of
the tiny blood vessels in it. When we cry, or
have a cold, or have allergies, more blood rushes
into the eye, making it look redder.
Ask your mom is she doesn’t mind standing in
different lights to see how her eyes might change
color.
