Can a large speaker magnet sitting on top of a generator damage it?
Question Date: 2019-04-21
Answer 1:

The magnetic field of the magnet would interact with the magnetic field created by the electrical current in the generator. If the force is strong enough, it could damage it, but I don't know if the force would be strong enough with just a speaker magnet. I'm inclined to doubt it, but I don't know.
